    Weekly Jumble

Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 12:38 PM EST [General]

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is well and good... miss you all very much (((group hug)))

Not a whole lot going on... girls are a pain, boys are perfect, the weather is beautiful but a bit too humid for my taste. It's really the same old, same old but I do have a ton of pics from the woodland and Andrew's 3rd b-day! I seem to have a bit more time on my hands now and I'm sorry in advance for making you suffer through a weekly jumble of thoughts and photos, lol. I have limited time today so you're just going to get photos :)

These are wild leeks and unfortunately this pic doesn't do them justice... so simply perfect and this is only a small smattering of whats strung across the woodland floor!

Just sideorodia from the drive... so pretty... and the pumpkins take over! I love them, I don't care, lol... What was I supposed to do pull them up? I didn't plant pumpkins this year, btw... they're from last Samhain's porch pumpkins :)

...and Andrew's 3rd b-day was this past Monday. We had everyone to the house on Sunday and a good time was had by all! I love b-days but I'm glad we only have one a year :P

That's all the news fit to print this week... Wishing everyone a safe and fun 4th and weekend. Blessings and love... xxx ooo

    Here I am!

Friday, June 27, 2008, 11:10 AM EST [General]

    Good Morning my witchy loves!

    ***(((GROUP HUG)))***

It's official... again, lol. The neighbor's wifi is no more :( Permanently, this time. So... I'm making the library a scheduled stop several times a week. It's a beautiful Victorian home that was converted many decades ago. As a matter of fact, it hasn't changed a bit since I was in kindergarten! They have brought it up to date, of course... but visually, it's like a time machine! Here's the link if you'd like to see... it's really is a lovely place to spend some quiet time. They leave their connection active off hours too so I can loiter in their parking lot, if need be!

    www.schoharielibrary.org

I suppose it's good to not have the computer fused to my hip but simple things like being able to look up a phone number, now requires me to locate the phone book! I haven't seen it in years, lol. It must be around here somewhere :P Checking e-mail has also become a chore... bleh. Several days worth in one shot can take more than a few minutes. But all in all, I'm just trying to get used to the feeling of not being able to simply click and connect to you guys. Especially after this past weekend... you are such an important part of my life. Those of you who have my number please feel free to use it... makes my day! If for some reason you didn't get it or lost it, drop me an e-mail hmacgr@gmail.com and I'll get it to you. Free nights and weekends!! I'm also burning group healing and energy candles on the mantle... I don't want my energy to be out of the mix... I just don't know who it's going to, lol! Alysia, honey... I'm loving you and your family BIG right now. Lisa, you and yours also. If you know of someone that needs a shot of “Heather”... again, please let me know in an e-mail or by phone. It's near impossible to read all the blogs now :( HELP!

Lets see... what's the news? Hmmm... girls are a pain, boys are perfect. Andrew's 3rd birthday is the 30th so we will be having his party on Sunday. That's always fun! The garden is coming along nicely but we've had so much rain of late the ground is saturated... need more sun please :) The tomatoes and potatoes have flowers and I've been picking lettuce and spinach nearly every night! The strawberries are taking over the herb garden, lol and it's a constant race with the monks and birdies to get to the yummy nibbles first! These are second year, everbearing plants and they're very healthy... sending runners out all over the joint! I suppose I'll have to move the herb garden before the seasons over. Not very good planning on my part but hey... I get to make a new witches garden! Everything else is in that stage of almost... I'm anxiously awaiting my moonflowers!

I've already been giving some thought to creation of the harvest ritual for our CS gathering in the fall. I'm not so much nervous (God's know, I can sure work a crowd, lol!) but confused, in a sense. I don't mean that in a general, how does it run, kind of way. But being solitary for so many years and all... what is it that I want to share? My energy, of course... that goes without saying. I absolutely come alive in autumn! Oh, I don't know, lol... I'll manage! Steph... wanna trade?!

Speaking of Steph... during a chat, she had mentioned that one of the best field guides for medicinal plants/herbs was the Peterson Field Guide. I said, “Oh, I don't know that one. I'll have to look in the used book store for it.” That was just a few days ago... So there I am, sitting on the edge of the bed yesterday and I look over to the dresser and I see a book. I go over to check it out and it's the Peterson Field Guide to Medicinal Plants and Herbs! Now I'm confused, lol. Omg's, did I mistakenly grab up Steph's book with mine as we were leaving Em's? Wait... I didn't even know she brought it? I'm very confused? VERY confused! So I ask Will, “Where'd this come from?”. “Oh”, he says... “I dug it out of the box of books in the closet. I thought you might like to have it out.” Eureka!!! I remember!!!!! I had purchased it in a little nursery in ME on the way to Bangor, God's know how many years ago. I'm such an ass!!! Obviously, I don't know what the hell is in in that closet... damn. Yes, Steph, I do know that book and I love it! So easy to use... I've just had one too many hits on the old peace pipe over the years :P Good Goddess, where has my mind gone? Don't answer that...

Well, I guess that about covers it... same old, same old, really.

Blessings and love (((group hug))) for a wonderful weekend! xxx ooo

Oh! Almost forgot... I still have that meditation for the AA book share available over on the sidebar of my main page... Any takers? And while I'm at it... if you have any movies or books you'd like to recommend to me I sure would appreciate it. We've watched everything in our movie collection more than twice and I'm scared to go in the closet to see what's in those boxes of books, lol! Interestingly enough I'm not a big fan of witchy/pagan books but I love mystery/spy stuff! Weird, huh?

More xxx's and ooo's... Love you guys!

    Covenstock 08... Summer Edition!

Monday, June 23, 2008, 07:13 AM EST [Celebrations]

WOW! That about covers it :)

What an awesome Midsummer! The drive up to Emily's mountain was a fanstastic way to welcome the Jensen back... I missed her. Twisty, mountain switchback roads... her fav! Mine too! We pulled into the E & E homestead and I've not had such a greeting in an age, lol. Any minor concerns and worries melted away and poof!... I had sisters! I can't describe to you what that means to a 20 yr solitary. It's truly priceless and I am blessed.

Now, you've seen all the wonderful pics of us in various stages of silliness :P I don't think I stopped giggling from the moment we pulled into the drive! Ha! Actually all my people pics came out blurry. Maybe because I was giggling too much :P Sooo... my pictorial contribution will be to show you the magical woodland that surrounded and welcomed us. Emily lives in paradise! This woodland, being at a much higher elevation than mine, was completely different. The floor of the forrest was surprisingly clear, quartz was abundant... it just jutted out of the ground at every step! I won't bore you with every one I came across, lol... but you know I have pics of them all :P The stream running through the gorge we climbed down into was simply breathtaking... Enjoy!

The only one who knew where he was!

Oh... and Em loved that rattle from Jody! See... she didn't singe a thing :P

Thank you to everyone... Em, Ed, Steph, Pix (possibly the sweetest little Pixie ever!), Merle, Jody, Jenn, Duncan & Duffy. Will and I had a wonderful time (((hug))) and I can't wait to have you add your energy to this wonderful mix. We need you :)

Blessings and love for a wonderful week... xxx ooo

    Blessed Midsummer!

    _____________________________________________________________

What a beautiful morning! It's def a coffee on the deck morning but not for too long... things to do, places to go, people to see!!! I'm trying to remain calm and centered but damn if I'm not floating about in anticipation of this weekends festivities :)

I've been very bad in my reading and commenting, yet again. I will try to come down to earth to see what's been going on around here, lol. I've been off doing the usual taxi service for the boys and Amber, making lists for the weekend trip (I'm a horrid list maker!), weeding and trying to keep the critters out of my strawberries (damn monks!), devising a small yoga sequence for my midsummer mates (I did finish that!), looking for the darned tent (found it!), scouring the land for a fuel filter for the Jensen (didn't find it... crap), trying to decide if I should dye my hair (opinions welcome!) and general running about with my head cut off, lol. OH! ...and the moon, the beautiful, wonderful full moon! How lovely she was but oh so naughty for keeping me up so late several nights in a row. I'm full to the brim with luna love! Guess that about covers it...

Wishing all my CS loves safe travels, bountiful midsummer blessings and of course... love!
