    Here I am!

Friday, June 27, 2008, 11:10 AM EST [General]

    Good Morning my witchy loves!

    ***(((GROUP HUG)))***

It's official... again, lol. The neighbor's wifi is no more :( Permanently, this time. So... I'm making the library a scheduled stop several times a week. It's a beautiful Victorian home that was converted many decades ago. As a matter of fact, it hasn't changed a bit since I was in kindergarten! They have brought it up to date, of course... but visually, it's like a time machine! Here's the link if you'd like to see... it's really is a lovely place to spend some quiet time. They leave their connection active off hours too so I can loiter in their parking lot, if need be!

I suppose it's good to not have the computer fused to my hip but simple things like being able to look up a phone number, now requires me to locate the phone book! I haven't seen it in years, lol. It must be around here somewhere :P Checking e-mail has also become a chore... bleh. Several days worth in one shot can take more than a few minutes. But all in all, I'm just trying to get used to the feeling of not being able to simply click and connect to you guys. Especially after this past weekend... you are such an important part of my life. Those of you who have my number please feel free to use it... makes my day! If for some reason you didn't get it or lost it, drop me an e-mail hmacgr@gmail.com and I'll get it to you. Free nights and weekends!! I'm also burning group healing and energy candles on the mantle... I don't want my energy to be out of the mix... I just don't know who it's going to, lol! Alysia, honey... I'm loving you and your family BIG right now. Lisa, you and yours also. If you know of someone that needs a shot of “Heather”... again, please let me know in an e-mail or by phone. It's near impossible to read all the blogs now :( HELP!

Lets see... what's the news? Hmmm... girls are a pain, boys are perfect. Andrew's 3rd birthday is the 30th so we will be having his party on Sunday. That's always fun! The garden is coming along nicely but we've had so much rain of late the ground is saturated... need more sun please :) The tomatoes and potatoes have flowers and I've been picking lettuce and spinach nearly every night! The strawberries are taking over the herb garden, lol and it's a constant race with the monks and birdies to get to the yummy nibbles first! These are second year, everbearing plants and they're very healthy... sending runners out all over the joint! I suppose I'll have to move the herb garden before the seasons over. Not very good planning on my part but hey... I get to make a new witches garden! Everything else is in that stage of almost... I'm anxiously awaiting my moonflowers!

I've already been giving some thought to creation of the harvest ritual for our CS gathering in the fall. I'm not so much nervous (God's know, I can sure work a crowd, lol!) but confused, in a sense. I don't mean that in a general, how does it run, kind of way. But being solitary for so many years and all... what is it that I want to share? My energy, of course... that goes without saying. I absolutely come alive in autumn! Oh, I don't know, lol... I'll manage! Steph... wanna trade?!

Speaking of Steph... during a chat, she had mentioned that one of the best field guides for medicinal plants/herbs was the Peterson Field Guide. I said, “Oh, I don't know that one. I'll have to look in the used book store for it.” That was just a few days ago... So there I am, sitting on the edge of the bed yesterday and I look over to the dresser and I see a book. I go over to check it out and it's the Peterson Field Guide to Medicinal Plants and Herbs! Now I'm confused, lol. Omg's, did I mistakenly grab up Steph's book with mine as we were leaving Em's? Wait... I didn't even know she brought it? I'm very confused? VERY confused! So I ask Will, “Where'd this come from?”. “Oh”, he says... “I dug it out of the box of books in the closet. I thought you might like to have it out.” Eureka!!! I remember!!!!! I had purchased it in a little nursery in ME on the way to Bangor, God's know how many years ago. I'm such an ass!!! Obviously, I don't know what the hell is in in that closet... damn. Yes, Steph, I do know that book and I love it! So easy to use... I've just had one too many hits on the old peace pipe over the years :P Good Goddess, where has my mind gone? Don't answer that...

Well, I guess that about covers it... same old, same old, really.

Blessings and love (((group hug))) for a wonderful weekend! xxx ooo

Oh! Almost forgot... I still have that meditation for the AA book share available over on the sidebar of my main page... Any takers? And while I'm at it... if you have any movies or books you'd like to recommend to me I sure would appreciate it. We've watched everything in our movie collection more than twice and I'm scared to go in the closet to see what's in those boxes of books, lol! Interestingly enough I'm not a big fan of witchy/pagan books but I love mystery/spy stuff! Weird, huh?

More xxx's and ooo's... Love you guys!

thank you so very much heather! my cousin and family can use all the energy we can get. :) not sure if you saw my last post, but he is in very good spirits. :D sounds like he was making my uncle laugh on the phone. that's awesome! i know a lot of it is cause of the love and energy from my witchy peeps. :) thank you.

oh, suggestion #1: maybe you can use a dial up internet provider. i remember going to best buy and picking up a netzero trial cd for free. they probably still have them. :) hey it's something! unless, of coarse, you are like me and have no land line! lol! #2: starbucks usually has wifi. btw, i love your library! it is beautiful! i always wanted to own a house like that and turn it into a bookstore. :) now as far as books, #1 read the dexters!!! just finished the first one, and damn is it good! it is a little different then the show. well a lot different.. the ending anyway. if your library doesn't have it then maybe i can jump on the a a book train and send it to ya! also. i am falling head over heals for christopher moore! i am reading dirty job. it is ssssoooooo good! only about 150 pages into it, but i'm loving it. it's like pixie and i wrote a book together! lol! it's great! #3 now i am not a scifi kinda girl, but i read and loved the anne bishop black jewels trilogy. it is witchy, but in a good way. i didn't find it to be over the top or silly. and it is quite sexy! so a good read all around. i'd say i could loan you the first one, but my mom still has it. movies... ummmm.. i just saw girl interrupted for the first time. it was good. but i do have a mad girl crush on mrs. jolie! ;) oh! have you ever seen just friends! that is a hilarious movie!! a clasic! ok, that's enough out of me. lol! luv ya! miss ya! can't wait to have ya back!! (((((hugs))))))~

What a beautiful library! It was so nice to chat with you, however briefly, this morning :).

Books: How do you feel about "cozy mysteries"? I like Earlene Fowler. Her book titles are the names of quilt blocks. Joanne Fluke writes about the owner of a cookie shop in small town MN AND she includes cookie recipes! Yum. Sarah Graves writes about a woman who lives on a small island in ME. The series is called Home Repair Mysteries. Great series. And of couse, Janet Evanovich. Laugh-out-loud funny.
Movies: We watch a lot of Disney these days, lol. Clash of the Titans, Philidelphia (sp?)Story, Lover Come Back (Hudson/Day)--my fave of the ones they did together and Jumanji. Hope there's a few new things there. Have a wonderful weekend!

    What's a "phone book"? ROTFL!

Actualy, the library looks really nice - maybe it's not such a bad thing to have to spend some time there.

So - I actually finally got around to posting a few books on my page for Annie's Applesauce. I do have some movies that are good but I probably won't watch again, and some that I will watch again but have replaced with Blu-ray dvds. Should we post movies as well?
