    Where the wild things are...

Tuesday, July 15, 2008, 10:00 AM EST [General]

Hi everybody! I’m connected!!! Well, kind of… it’s dial-up but it will do for now :) It’s a bit difficult to navigate some pages and uploading pics is damn near a full day event, lol, but I’m not complaining. I’ve missed being on daily so much that it’s an absolute joy beyond words to sit down with my witchies and my coffee! (((group hug)))

It’s been almost two weeks since I’ve blogged and not a whole lot has changed since the last one *shrugs* Girls are a pain, boys are perfect, you know the drill. Life goes on… I'm sure looking forward to the full moon!

This past weekend Will and I did have a treat for a day. He had a job to look at in the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid area so, under the guise of work, we headed to the Adirondacks! The gas and lunch were on Will’s company! Bless them… we really needed that. One of our favorite journeys is Route 30 from Schoharie to Lake Placid (about 31/2 hrs straight drive) but it takes us much longer as we often stop to explore. This time up, I saw my first black bear in Long Lake but the highlight for me was The Wild Center in Tupper Lake.

Now my first thought was, “Why would you put this smack in the middle of the Adirondacks? Can’t people open their eyes anywhere in this region and see this?” Apparently not… c’est la vie. I shouldn’t be surprised but I was. At any rate, it’s an amazing ‘green’ facility full of all the things you’d expect to find when you trek up to these parts. An excellent educational tool for the wee folk and just a beautiful way to spend the afternoon! If you have a moment, check out the site, as I would never be able to convey all the wonderful things you can experience there. They also have a fab movie for homeschoolers on the history of the Adirondacks. Well, for anyone really but that came to mind first! Really… if you have a moment, check out the site… you’ll love it!

Well, that’s all the news fit to print here… How’s your summer going?

Blessings and love to all my dear friends… I’ve missed you all more than I could ever say. (((group hug))) The cards, letters, calls, texts, comments, messages and loving energies that have been sent to keep me close have been the bright spot and I'm blessed to be part of such a beautiful circle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. <3

    xxx ooo

P.S. Ha! I almost forgot... my (bi)weekly pics! Thought you got out of it, didn't you? :P

Most of these are from the weekend trip. Sorry, no bear or skinny dip pics :( the bear was too quick for me and this is a family site, right? Ha! ...oh, and one of my Echinacea in the Witches garden. Btw, if anyone knows what that gorgeous water plant is, please, please, please enlighten me... I can't identify it and it's driving me nuts!!

I love dial-up... it took these over an hour to upload!
